Royal Aberdeen Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world. The club’s Balgownie Links course, renowned for its challenging layout, was originally designed by Archie and Robert Simpson in 1888, with later revisions by James Braid. The par-71 links course stretches over 6,800 yards, with the front nine often regarded as one of the finest in links golf.

Situated along the northeastern Scottish coast, Royal Aberdeen offers stunning views of the North Sea and presents a true test of traditional links golf with its rolling dunes, natural hazards, and constantly changing coastal winds. The course has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including Scottish Open and the Senior Open Championship, cementing its reputation as one of the best courses in the world. Golfers are drawn to Royal Aberdeen not only for its history legacy but also for the authentic links experience it provides.
